When you click the link, a screen like the one below will appear, and you can choose from several options: you can edit the text in the Family Trees section of the home page, add a tree by uploading a GEDCOM file, create or edit and Internet Family Tree, or remove a tree. We'll start by creating an Internet Family Tree directly on the Web site.
When you click on the Add or edit an Internet Family Tree link, you will be taken to a wizard a simple data entry screen to begin creating your tree. You can enter information about yourself, your parents, and your children to instantly create a 3-generation tree, and can then add to it later. This is a great option if you don't currently use genealogy software on your computer, since it only requires a Web browser that's version 4.0 or later.
After you're done filling in the wizard's form, click the Show Me My Tree button to view the tree you've created.
