Paula Abdul
 |
| Of Syrian, Brazilian, and French Canadian roots, Paula Julie Abdul was
born June 19, 1962 in San Fernando, California. She began dancing at the age of four,
and became a Laker Girl after college where she was discovered by The Jacksons. Gaining
fame for her choreography of Janet Jackson’s music videos, she ventured further into
the music industry. Making records of her own, she had two #1 hit albums and seven #1
singles. After a hiatus from the music industry, Paula has recently gained new
recognition as one of American Idol’s three famous co-hosts, acting as a gentle counterpart
to the infamous Simon Cowell. |
